At Sportunity, we believe in the power of sport to break barriers, bring people together, and create meaningful opportunities for personal and social transformation. Through the universal language of sport, we help refugees and migrants feel truly at home in Luxembourg, cultivating teamwork, mutual respect, and a deep sense of belonging.

Embark on a journey to explore Luxembourg's cultural traditions!
Chemins Croisés brings our signature integration hikes to a new level, blending movement, culture, and shared discovery. Over the coming months, a series of specially designed hikes will invite you to explore Luxembourg’s history and identity by stepping into some of the country’s oldest and most fascinating traditions. The programme shines a light on well-preserved yet lesser-known cultural customs, local stories, and seasonal festivities. The hikes are suitable for adults comfortable with moderate walking.
Our first edition takes us to Remich, a charming riverside town in eastern Luxembourg, surrounded by vineyards and known for its relaxed, holiday-like atmosphere. We’ll be there on Aschermëttwoch (Ash Wednesday), when the town comes alive with the traditional Straw Man procession—an old ritual marking the end of Carnival and bidding farewell to winter.
We’ll meet at 16:30 for a hike through the surrounding vineyards, before descending into town to join the procession and take part in the festivities together.
Please note: Places are limited and registration is required. SIGN UP HEREto join us.
The programme is developed with support of Luxembourg's Ministry of Family Affairs, Solidarity, Living Together and Reception of Refugees.

Founded in Luxembourg in 2013, Sportunity began with a simple yet powerful idea: to improve the lives of disadvantaged young people through the transformative power of sport. Over the years, we have grown into a dynamic organization with extensive experience in designing and delivering impactful programs for individuals facing challenging life circumstances.
Our mission has always been to provide access not only to sports but also to opportunities for personal and social growth. With dedication, innovation, and compassion, we’ve supported hundreds of young people building brighter futures.
What Sets Us Apart
We are independent, community-driven, and creative, deeply dedicated to those we serve. Our team goes the extra mile to ensure that every program truly meets our participants’ needs.
Our work with refugees began with the Integration Through Sport project (2016–2018), which provided displaced individuals with regular sports training and opportunities to connect with local communities. This initiative remains at the heart of what we do, constantly evolving with new and diverse programs.
